San Rafael Swell, Utah
I had been shooting all day in a nearby canyon and was driving back to camp after dark that night. As I drove past these chiseled walls, I watched the full moon rise and envisioned this shot just as I drove past where the moon was exactly above the "point." I then realized that the moon would be in an even better position the next night. I returned the following evening just before heading home and was able to capture the full moon above the point, with the wispy clouds unveiling and framing the scene perfectly.
